Lazy Days of Summer

Sunday, August 24
Carl and I enjoyed a nice breakfast out this morning. Then we came home and mowed the yard and then I baked zucchini bread.
Today is a cooler day and more enjoyable day if you are busy working in the yard.
Like Carl and Sadie were doing today! Sadie decided she wanted to ride with Carl on the tractor to mow the back yard! Can you believe it? She always acted like she was afraid of the tractor! Go figure!
Yep, summer is coming to a close, on our ride to Charlevoix last night we saw many trees turning colors! I think it is too soon, but you know it is almost September!
School starting, football and volley ball games and tournaments! Wow that will keep kids and parents busy for awhile.
We visited Richard and Linda Oleary last night, we had a bite to eat and looked at pictures of their trip to Banff and Jasper and our trip to Alaska. After all was said and done, the dogs needed to go out, they are dog sitting their son's dog, Greta, a very nice shepard mix, well, she went out first and low and behold she came nose to nose to a skunk hiding under the porch at Oleary's. Poor Greta had to sleep in the garage last night! Anyone out there know of any good skunk cleaner?
Tonight we had a campfire and enjoyed a little corn hole! The Kassels came over to enjoy the campfire, they threw the football, enjoyed some somemores! What great times to remember as we go ahead in this world!
Have a great week and enjoy every minute!
