Fall is in the air

I believe fall is coming in full force. As I walked this morning, 5:30 am it had a feel of a crisp morning! I donned my knitted hat, gloves and started out down Center St., met my friend Janet Chobot, and we began our 7 mile trek down and back North Bay Shore Dr.
After my walk, I came home and walked Sadie her 2 1/2 miles.
I mowed our front yard and mowed up red and organge leaves along with grass! So, it won't belong and the leaves will be falling, temperatures will be falling fast! Fall....a beautiful time of the year but kind of depressing to me because after fall comes winter.... Winter is pretty but cold!
Tomorrow morning I am going to go Bikram Yoga in Traverse City. It has been 3 1/2 months since the last time I attended! This could be interesting. I will let you know if I make it! Bikram Yoga is hot yoga, a room of 105 degrees, 26 yoga poses. It is a workout!
Sunny skies tomorrow and temps around 70 degrees!
There was a very pretty sunset tonight, so I expect it will be a great day tomorrow!
Good night.

My Winter Hat

As I prepared to walk this morning at 5:30, I picked up my trusty little knitted hat that my niece Lori made for me, when she was 12 years old! It is the best hat, fits my head, and it is cute! Now, lets see.....if she was 12 when she knitted it for me and she is now 51 year of age, that doesn't seem possible at all! The hat is 39 years old! It still looks so good.
She knitted another hat, and I don't know how old she was then, but I use hat that too! Thank you Lori! I love my hats!

I also have someplace in this house a hand knitted poncho that my sister knitted for me. It is a 70's item. Gold in color. One of these days I am going to get it out and wear it! It certainly must be pretty warm!

Thinking back over the years, you know 39 years isn't very long ago, to me it seems like yesterday. I remember babysitting my niece and nephews, WOW time does fly!

Enjoy my hat pictures.

I think of my niece everyday when I go to put my hat on!

Thanks again for the memories!!!

Mike and Jolene Wilson's Wedding

We traveled to Wolverine and Picked up John and headed to Engadine, Michigan to witness the wedding ceremony of Mike & Jolene Wilson.
Mike is my cousin Rick's son. It was a terribly rainy day and we all thought we would watching from our cars. The wedding was outside! At 12:45 the rained stopped and the sun came out and at 1:00 the time of the wedding it was a perfect wedding day for them!
The wedding certainly wasn't a traditional wedding, with frilly dress and tuxes....the wedding was theirs and it fit them perfectly! The wedding was very casual and comfortable!
Everyone had a good time, we were home early.
We enjoyed visiting with Rick and everyone. Haven't seen Dianne and Bill for a long time and Rob and Tammy and their boys Dane and Cole.
Look at the pictures on my Picasa.

Congratulations to Mike and Jolene and wishes for many many years of wedded bliss!

Contratulatins to both families!

Check out the Photo Album!

Sept. 3, 2008

Another day at the garage. We primed and painted it was a much cooler day, too! Our goal was to get the front, back and north side finished today, so we could concentrate on the south side of the garage. Carl has his scaffoling up already to start tomorrow morning! I won't be up on the high scaffoling! I will supervise, gee I think I would like that job!
Well we talked about how much fun painting the garage was rather than go in the motorhome up to the Upper Peninsula! Of course that was a joke.....painting the garage sure is a lot cheaper way to go!
It has been a long day. It started at 5:30 off to the pilates sudio to exercise and then come home and paint.
Tomorrow starts with my long walk at 5:45 am and then back to paint.
