Hi there!
It is Friday already, we have been on the road for almost 3 weeks, we have seen so much!
We are in Tok, Alaska tonight. We left Anchorage at 8:00 this a.m. We arrived in Tok, 4:00 this afternoon.
The Glenn Highway is the most scenic route! Many frost heaves, hilly and curvy, but must say the most scenic. In fact, the Milepost says it is the most scenic routes and it a must drive!
In addition to majestic mountains we saw the Matanuska Glacier, Sheep Mt. with its oxidized gypsum colors. The mountain ranges are just spectacular!
We saw these tubular things along the highway, they are for the snow plows so they can find the road! How cool is that?
One stretch of the road was major construction, it looks like they are adding a second road.
We didn't see any moose or bear but we saw a couple stray hares! What a disappointment! There were a lot of forests, I thought for sure we see something!
Had a little rain today for about an hour. It seems to rain an hour everyday.
Sadie will be glad when we get home, she is acclimating to the motor home a little better each day..but she is sleeping with us. Maybe because I know that she is so scared! Oh well, won't she be surprised when she gets home and has to sleep in her kennel!
Check back for pictures! This internet is so slow!
What will tomorrow bring?
