Carl found a new position for driving
Sally at Exit Glacier

Sunday we said good-bye to Fairbanks! We said good-bye to our friends Terry and Jean Lutz from Wisconsin. They were leaving also, but they were going to spend time in Denali Park, take the bus tour etc. We opted to keep going into Anchorage. It is a long trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage. We didn’t arrive until after 6:00. We had to find a RV park…..found the Golden Nugget, but it was closed, so we went on a search to find the Ships Creek Landings RV Park. Well, the good old Garmin told us how to find it!

Ships Creek Landings RV Park is in the Industrial Park area, with a railroad track right next door! It was a real dive. The bathrooms were the worst, it was the worst one yet! There haven’t been many good ones along the way! Fairbanks, Rivers Edge RV Park has been the best…..we stayed their 4 days!
We called Richard my nephew, we had dinner , we went to Sourdough Mining Company, was a quaint little place, good food and a good visit with Richard. We went back to his condo and watched a movie called The Bucket List, with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman. It was funny but it was also sad! Have you made your bucket list yet? We started with this trip!

Monday, we went to Seward. A quaint village on the Gulf of Alaska. At one time it was a transportation hub for Alaska’s mining, explorations, fishing and trapping industries. Exit Glacier is also located in Seward. We went on the hike to see Exit Glacier. See pictures.
The city of Seward offers RV parking right downtown on the coast. We thought about staying there, we thought we could find the Parks advertised in the Mile Post, we found one but that would meet our specifications and the nice one we couldn’t find. So, we are parked in US Forest campground. No hook ups. No internet!
We hope to wake up and see a bear or some moose around the campground!

Good night.
